Today...

Uhm, yeah, class was PAAAAINFUL this morning, and I was, again, dehydrated, even though I drank my whole gatorade bottle after class. I am so excited. (is the sarcasm apparent?) Yuck.

Yesterday...

Ran mile in 80 degree heat with B.
Was very discouraging, as he ended it by sprinting in to A's house...
... so yeah, I give up.

Oh well, se la vie...

I didn't run today, mostly because Mum & Dad think I might injure myself. I've been killing myself lately and since I was so sore I couldn't move last night, it was probably a good idea...

I did miss running with B...

Monday, July 20, 2009

Wow, can I please stop getting so dehydrated?

Dear Body,
I try really hard, and I even drank Gatorade after working out today, so WHY do you make me pass out so hard? Huh? You made me go to sleep right away yesterday when I ran two and a half miles with B, and then this morning, I napped for a good 3 1/2 hours without moving. Thank God I didn't have work! We need to not have this kind of problem again, body... This is all for your own good, so why are you giving me such terrible issues?
Let's work on making workouts a positive experience, eh?
Love,
Me

FML (aka, the B chronicles)

Uhm, so The Brosef and I had to go running this morning and it was tres annoying.

We ran 2.6 miles on a trail...
...and now I can't move.

FML.

Seriously, how is running 2.5 on concrete so much easier? Trail running is better for you, so why, why, WHY doesn't it FEEL any better?

Yuck. No mas, por favor.

Oh wait- I have class tomorrow.
FML x 2

Saturday, July 18, 2009

Haha, I didn't run today...

Workout yesterday... basically our teacher destroyed my abdominal muscles.

Today, I just worked in heels, which is basically a workout.
Except not really.
Ew.

Thursday, July 16, 2009

Oh nose... tomorrow's gonna hurt...

Yep, me and the broseph ran a mile today. It was great because he really forced me to go fast, but since it was only a mile, it didn't kill me too much... so class tomorrow should be fun, right? RIGHT?!?!

Nah.
Instead of an actual sports related injury, boxes fell on me at my job. While I was in a high bar stool working. So I fell 3 1/2 feet onto my bum. Ouch.
Class will be a breeeeeeze.
Yuck.

My butt hurts...

I ran with Bobby yesterday (two and a half miles).
We argued about Baseball versus Soccer for literally the entire time.
Bobby's response?
"We ran?"
It felt good to ignore the running sensation.
Ha.

I didn't get to go to class today...
BUT I am going running tomorrow, hopefully with Bobby.

My butt hurts, unfortunately, not because of how many miles I ran today (0), but because I fell right on it when a bunch of stuff (including the chair I was sitting in) fell on me. Sad.

A is a total liar.

So, A, B, and me were all going to go running este manana, and so I had to go pick up the broski (B) before hand. So, not to mention the fact that he takes FOREVER to get ready, he also SUCKS at directions, so we were kind of late to A's. Anyway, we got there and we decided to do the almost 2 mile run...
... Half-way out, A says, "Oh by the way, guys, this is a two and a half mile course. Ha."

It was gross. Given that B is a dude and in WAY better shape than me, he was killing me & A for a while, then decided to do an irritating looping thing. A hadn't worked out since Thursday, so I guess she was all energetic (or maybe is just more beast than me), so she was pulling away from me too. It was hot (77-ish), it was sticky (god, it's humid), and I felt FAT. Yuck. Yuck. YUCK.

Anyway, when we finally got back to the house, we swam in A's pool for a while and played pool volleyball... which was fun because it was me and A against B and we made him go in the deep end.

Going shopping for sheets for my dorm and sweatpants (and possibly mini-fridge) in a couple. It's my boyfriend's mom's birthday, so I'm getting her a scented candle (sounds good, right?). Hopefully I get to actually SEE the bf today, considering he already had work (11-2) and now he can sing Happy Birthday to his mom and give me a massage. (No joke, he seriously offered, and I am sorely tempted to take him up on that).

Harry Potter Marathon and Nap the day of the Midnight Premiere
It's at A's, so we're going to run first and then pool/movie the rest of the day...
... she's going as Bellatrix Lestrange, and her costume is BALLA.

Practically had given up on Band, except B told me he finished the AB sections for one of the songs in his trilogy (Son, Rise). I think I'm just going to brainstorm with B and the the rest of the dudes can pick up the pace when they can.

No time like the AM... not.

Class this morning was painful. Woo-hoo!
There were only 4 people in class today, so our teacher totally (embarrassingly) called me out for being a complete wimp and not knowing how to do jack shite with my arms.
We used huge rubber bands rather than weights, which were NOT any easier.
I'm still sore, but I'm taking tomorrow off, so that should be fun...
(not really)
... and Sunday I'm going to run with A again.

Tuesday night should be fun, but I'm going to need to take a mega-huge nap before hand... because I'll have 6 AM class Wednesday and work from 10:30 - 6:30... Yuck. Hahaha. Ishould try that freakin' hairspray, haha.

Funness.

Running Today...

...was much more enjoyable.

I forced myself to drive all the way out to A's for a mile & a half run (all we could do after the last couple days). It was at least 80 degrees, so it wasn't exactly a joy ride-- particularly up some of the hills-- but I survived and am better for it. This time we kept right at 10 minute pace, because we finished in exactly ten (YAY!) I was really sore (particularly my arms-- must be all the cardio kick boxing), but swimming with A (and the little sister, who didn't run) definitely helped... swimming afterwards is like a cool-down, cross-training, and icing all at once.

Got the hairspray so that the Bro and I can go as Fred and George- to the HP premiere. I'm Fred.

Also got great closet organizer... plan on using it really soon.

Still no band practice. I give up.

Class Yesterday...

...was painful. I was sore.

Tuesday, July 7, 2009

Yep... I'm sore.

I just ran a mile with my Dad in the enormous rain storm.
I am very sore.
Not looking forward to 6 AM class.

Whew, it's been a while!

I sort of ran out of steam there, no?
I kept running for a while after I stopped blogging, but then even that got messed up.
Good news: now Mom & I are taking Cardio Kick Boxing every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Our first class was yesterday; it kicked my butt.
Hoping on running with A. today after work.
I expect I won't feel like running, but hey, se la vie.
I gotta do it at some point, right??

HARRY POTTER PREMIERE!!!
We're excited. B & myself are going as Fred & George which ought to be AWESOME. No clue what the bf is going to do, but we talked about tatooing him Sirius-style. SEXY.

ALMOST FORGOT:
I did run recently-- I did the Fourth of July 5K with A! Nothing special- it took us a whopping 33 minutes to reach our destination, but we passed a LOT of people and it was so wonderful to actually, you know, DO something!!!

Still no band practice-- probably none for the rest of this week.

Thursday, June 11, 2009

Yeah, I can't do this.

I couldn't run today.

That's bad. I really should. I wanted to run today...
But I couldn't.

It's very frustrating.

I probably won't be able to run until Saturday.
Jeez.

Tuesday, June 9, 2009

Stride outs are stupid.

Well, the sister and I ran again.

I went directly after work, so the pain of my high-heels was nailing me. I had pretty consistent shin pain the whole time (probably due to the heels), but since I ran on the grass about half of the time, I didn't have too much knee pain.

I only ran a mile and a half, which isn't too great, but isn't horrible. That way, I can run two miles on Thursday.

Vomiting isn't my favorite.

I feel literally sick. Like, as in, if I smell food ever again, I may well lose my stomach. Unfortunately, dinner is ready.

Today, I ran two miles. Well, Dad says it was more like two and a half. But I think he's saying that to make me feel better. It was fine; it was a good run. I felt euphoric and proud when I finished, and my two running buddies and I walked it off afterwards. A and me even sat on the swings and talked for quite some time afterwards.

Now my back is destroyed.
And I'm extremely nauseous.

Okay, I checked with Dad. It was two and a half. So I guess this is somewhat justified.

A was really great today. She's killer to run with because we talked the whole time... but on the other hand, that was killer in a bad way also. M was mostly quiet the whole time, but she was a good sport anyway. I can't run alone, but I think they pushed me faster than I probably should have gone. Oops.

Want to see Hangover - cannot afford it - possibly will get my "Sugar Daddy" to pay =]
Band Practice - finally today - not a REAL song written but lots of progress
No more word on the jobs - will be on campus tommorow

I must be getting old.

The back still hurts... a lot. I don't know why (perhaps bad posture?), but it certainly is making this day painful.

I went to registration for my college yesterday.
I'm excited. I'm pretty much only taking classses that I like.

I don't know how I'll be able to run tommorow, what with work and whatnot, but I supposed I'll just have to wait until after work and run in the evening.

My runs are certainly frustratingly slow, but I think I have the right approach with adding on mileage slowly. I'm sure no one is in any hurry to run with me because it'd be so god awful boring for them, but other than that, I think I am doing pretty well on my own.

Still haven't done strength training today; probably won't, considering I have work quite soon and haven't done anything yet. Maybe. We'll see.

Job applications - 1 call back out of 20 applications - for a different location than the one I applied to. I am nervous and frustrated. I haven't called back yet, but perhaps I will this evening?

Band practice - will we ever really practice again? - still no new songs, and my ideas are becoming stupider.

Movies - can't afford them

Does she ever shut up?

No. No, she does not. Ran with the littlest sister again. We talked about boys (she's not interested), skating (she is), and running (it's so easy she forgets she's doing it).

Mile and a half; not bad, nothing to complain about. Not too shabby, considering I wasn't even going to bother running today. Still, I didn't yesterday, so I can't NOT run today.

I'm having pretty severe knee pain in my right knee. I think some initial shin cramps are starting too. I'll have to monitor both, and I definately have to start doing some cross training/strength workouts.

Dad should be pleased, but I'm not.

Someone with almost no leg strength and even less arm strength has no business doing push-ups at 6 AM every day. Yuck.

I need to start trail running soon, to prevent any more jarring of my knee. I've never had problems with it before, but hey, it's totally congenital: the middle sister and my dad face some pretty severe knee pain/weakness.

Saw UP! last night - June 3rd - Loved it! haha - "I hid under your porch, because I love you."
Band Practice - Still none and I leave next weekend - Have two great song ideas.
Cannot remember them at the moment. Crap.

I always double knot.

My reason for double knotting is simple: stopping running, even just to tie your shoe is cheating.

It makes you feel like the steps you take are failure if you have to stop, huffing, even if your shoe is the true culprit.

I hate stopping. I hate running, but I hate stopping even more.

Today was with littlest sister, one mile. Felt like lead. One mile should be easy. I'm starting to wonder what happened to my body. Maybe it'll get better. Hopefully. 70 or 80 degrees out there doesn't put me in the running mood.

Harry Potter - July 15 - Cannot wait
Band practice - N/A - no new songs.
